Rooted Rising

On 4th - 6th of May 2026, the Rooted Rising joined a campaign planning workshop facilitated by Payal Parekh for LINGO (Leave It In The Ground Initiative), in partnership with the Health of Mother Earth Foundation (HOMEF) and it gave us space to pause, reflect, and rethink how campaigns are built.

From power mapping to messaging, allies, targets, and strategy, the sessions challenged us to look beyond awareness and ask deeper questions about influence, movement building, and collective action.

For us, it was meaningful as an organisation working at the intersection of climate justice and gender justice using storytelling in frontline communities. It reminded us that stories are not just tools for visibility, they are tools for pressure, resistance, and transformation.

This training was very timely as it availed us with tools, deeper questions, and renewed commitment to building campaigns that do not only speak, but shift systems.
